Meadowsweet Tea
£5.50
Meadowsweet/Filipendula ulmaria tea 40g in compostable packaging.
Meadowsweet or Filipendula ulmaria used to be called Spiraea ulmaria. This old name is where aspirin gets its name from as it was extracted from this plant which is high in salicylic acid. This give it pain killing and anti inflammatory properties. It’s traditionally used for arthritis and for acid stomach conditions. Unlike aspirin it doesn’t irritate the stomach lining. It smells like aspirin but has a pleasant taste. It is also a traditional strewing herb.
Anyone who is allergic to aspirin should avoid this herb.
Packaged in compostable cellophane. 40g.
